Green Gorilla Breakfast Bowl

Taking the Green Gorilla smoothie to the next level for a bit of variety in the mornings and to give it some extra oomph and goodness with whatever’s in the cupboards!

For the smoothie:

  • 1/2 banana
  • handful of fresh spinach or two frozen spinach drops
  • scoop of vanilla whey protein
  • a few ice cubes
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 cup plant based milk – I normally have almond but have been using macadamia milk recently (you can use water instead if you’d prefer)
  • 1 tsp chia seeds

Blitz all ingredients together, I use a Nutri Ninja blender which works very well to make it smooth and drinkable.

Pour out the liquid into a bowl and top with your desired toppings. Today I used:

  • Cacao nibs
  • Almonds
  • Blueberries
  • Chopped up strawberries
